How are the floors finished?

Amazing color coordination. Is that an oil or hardwax oil floor finish? What species of wood and stain/finish?

Thanks!

The floor is white oak. The stain is a combination of a white stain mixed with golden oak color. The finish is water-based polyurethane because it has no yellow tint to it and will not yellow over time. We played around with the color until it matched the unfinished wood.

It occurred to me that you might have been asking about the cabinets. They are rift-cut white oak with a clear lacquer finish. The countertop is also white oak but finished with mineral oil like a butcher block. Mineral oil won't hurt you if ingest it.

Our cabinets are very similar--finished with low sheen valspar precatylyzed lacqer. We have been thinking of trying to achieve a similar color in the floors using a penetrating oil product like Woca. So far in my experiments the "Castle Gray" is pretty close. But you've got me thinking about a satin poly finish. If I may ask, what was your final color blend on the floors?
