You need a good flooring company--
do you have any of the existing flooring left over to take with you?
Is it engineered wood, laminate, or true wood flooring?
If it is true wood, the stain can probably be matched but the wood grain could be different even if you find the same type of wood/width...which might make it look different if any rooms run together...

We have that issue with our LA--the room has two openings to the front hall with fireplace between them and strip of tile uses for other walkways and in kitchen between carpet and the wood flooring in hall.

If we wanted to change carpet to wood we would have to try to match that hall flooring...and it is visible from where we sit...
We aren't original owners but I happened to be looking at the house when the flooring was going in--it was true wood flooring..nailed down and stained on site...so maybe it can be replicated...

But I

I would go with a completely different pattern
I've had this done in my previous house
I had normal hardwood laid in straight lines
And then parquetry timber flooring pattern next to it
That way it doesn't look like you've just picked any random timber

I would certainly work with a painter or stainer... it is possible to find the right stain that will match your new floor imperceptibly (BUT there WILL be a difference)...

I had a similar dilemma last year. Our living room, which leads into common hallway and kitchen had original wood flooring. I liked the stain, sort of a honey color.

I went to the big box decor stores, ie Lowe's and Home Depot. They have small squares of the flooring they sell. I brought home the ones that appeared to match best, and from that selection found the one that matches best. I then went to Lumber Liquidators and ordered that same plank size hardwood in the color that matched.

You could skip the Lumber Liquidators step if you find what you want at Lowe's or Home Depot.............I just couldn't find hardwood there within my price range.

The match is amazing and everyone thinks it's original like the living room.

Thanks everybody for the great advice. I now feel like I have a starting point. Attaching photos of my hardwood flooring to give u an idea of what I currently have. It's incredibly thin. Not quite sure how it's considered "hardwood." Ha!
