Curious to know where I can get something like this fabricated and what level of budget I should set aside?

You would only need a dimensional sketch of what you want. Then you could give that sketch to an engineer to design and draft the product. The engineer could then find a fab shop to make the ladder and do the finish work. If you are interested in making your own custom ladder, I am an engineer. I have been doing small projects for clients as a side job for years now. I would be happy to take your idea and make it a reality for you. If you would like to keep your idea confidential than we could draw up a nondisclosure agreement. If you think you may be serious please feel free to email me (cfshockey@gssonline.com) and I would be happy to contact you and discuss your project. Throwing out a rough estimate, you could probably do that ladder for $1800 depending on materials.
