Need help "beautifying" TV wall

Looking for inexpensive ideas on how to make this TV wall in our vacation home a bit less "stark" and a bit prettier. Thank you!!!!

    Below is an image from an article about "decorating around your television". I think a similar idea would work for you, maybe family photos and some golf related images, framed kids artwork in black and white and maybe even a golf club! Painting the wall in a more dramatic color would be nice as well, to really offset the black and white images if you choose to go with that idea. I agree that I would remove everything from the top of the cabinets for a clean uncluttered look and maybe tie the counter stool upholstery color in with the couch pillow colors. Very pretty room and I'll be I would love the kitchen as well!

      Do you watch all 3 at once? With that many TV's I would not put anything else on the wall.

      I am quite perplexed why 3 TVs are needed in a vacation home but, the first thing that I would do is get rid of all the little pieces on the cabinets and try to take the attention off of the TVs with some metal pieces (light and airy)-mimic fabric on chairs in the foreground) on the wall. Maybe go back with some decorative bowls on the cabinets.

      Get rid of the built-in furniture. It looks like someone mistakenly put kitchen cabinets in your living room.

      elklaker has wonderful suggestions for this space. Just by clearing off the counter of all the small items will make a huge difference. Scroll work type of decor will fill in the space and not compete with the televisions.

      I agree-- get rid of all the knick knacks. I am also perplexed as to why you would have 3 tv's in a vacation home. It is hard enough decorating around one TV let alone 3. I would either go for a media room look with all three TV's or a family room look.

      Can you tell us what this room is? Is it a family room kitchen combination? Is it your main living area in your vacation home? Is this a beach house or country house?

      It's a vacation home in Palm Desert, CA. We have two young daughters and my husband is a golf fanatic so we thought why not just put in a TV for everyone?! The pic is taken from the kitchen overlooking the eat-in bar. So this is a combo family / TV room. Does that make sense? Thanks for suggestions on clearing off granite area of knick knacks and taking attn off TVs w the metal pieces to mimic bar stool fabric - great ideas. As far as taking out built ins - prob not going to happen as we paid a fortune for them, good or bad! Thoughts on painting the wall?

      I actually like the wall color. When I see it in the background while looking at the bar stools, it looks great with that fabric. It seems to be a nice neutral for your space.

      Thank you p42baker. Your ideas are great. That picture is exactly what I was envisioning. We actually ended up having it painted last weekend to see if we liked it. It's now the same dark peacock as kitchen. Love your suggestions about hanging golf memorabilia and family items. A work in progress! PS - no one really watches all 3 TVs at once. Usually golf on mute, Disney Jr on, etc etc. One of those things my husband always wanted in a house and being that we don't live there full time why not let him have his way for once!? Lol!

      That works! I let my husband have his way in the garage, he can decorate it any way he likes! Lol
