A porous paint should be used for structures with multiple surface fractures from continuous foundation movement or extremely aged stone. If you are painting a standard brick wall in good condition then use any quality exterior paint. The nature of brick actually holds paint better than wood siding or trim and lasts for a very long time without chipping or pealing.
