Luv. Before you put any holes in your walls, will you tape up your template on the wall so we can see the positioning. Gram's picture should be about 64" from the floor to be at a good eye level. I realize that's not your"eye level" lol but that would be a general rule. We can always adjust the template. Thanks.

Seajaygerns, too late! I hung them as soon as I got up this morning and I love it! I still need to put the hanger on the silver plate I will hang above the mirror.

I'm still not quite sure about the table and definitely need to work on the top of the curio cabinet.

Table tray: try just pink vase, candlesticks, and candy dish from curio cab top.

Buffet tray: try ice bucket w/o flowers, decanter and small candy dish. I would love to see how that beautiful crystal bowl in the curio would look on the silver tray on the buffet by itself. I am concerned about have too many things placed around the room.

Curio top: maybe just a plate on a plate stand and the candlesticks.

If you decide to put WHITE candles lol in the candlesticks, you might consider the 7" candles and not the very tall ones.

I just measured the the two small pictures and the mid point is at 63 1/2".

I will make the changes suggested and take pictures to post. My hubby hasn't seen the latest changes. He gets home from work this morning. I think he will like it. I also think he will be happy he wasn't here while I was doing everything. ;-)

I like the flowers on buffet but maybe need to see it all from a distance.

That's so funny. The crystal bowl looked so much bigger in the curio.

Leave the tea set on the teacart - that's staying like it was as discussed earlier.

The table tray looks good if you can picture the flowers in the pink vase and still thinking about candles.

The buffet - bowl is too small by itself, agree. Ok. The bowl, the decanter and small candy dish. My thought is to keep like items together and not overwhelm the room with silver.

You did a great job hanging the plates! Looks great! Too much stuff on the table for my taste. Like the crystal bowl , add the hydrangea to it.

I think the table should be simple. Not sure if you are going to redo the top but I would take off the Matt . I would like to see a nice decorative soup tureen and a set of candlesticks. I think there is enough silver here now and it doesn't need to look so formal.

I am going to take off the table pads and refresh the top with some Old English as soon as I quit using the table top to shuffle all of these things around.

I lightened up the picture for you. It's not that each vignette isn't nice on its own. When viewed out of context it's a bit too much! You don't want the room to look like a tag sale.

A couple of changes -

Lyn. That right! But it was so worth it.

My ideal table would be a large, low flower arrangement on the silver tray. That's all. But I do like the tureen idea but trying to keep with Luvsparis wanting to use her things. I'm not sure how she feels about getting an arrangement for the table.

I'm pretty good with the buffet now. She'll still be tweaking it long after we're gone. LOL.

We're getting there! Just the pink vase with white flowers and candles on table. Simple.

Actually, this works for me! I like the weight of the tureen and the white ties into the plates!

Either way but no more than those three things. If you are not going to use them on the sideboard then I don't think those items stand on their own. They are fine for now but I think you need something larger with more impact. I would resist using lots of smaller items together as it detracts from the lovely vignettes on the wall.

Ok, then i would suggest you remove what you have on the sideboard and use the tureen or something with substance there. You have to many things of repetitive # and it is a little busy.

i like the flowers on the table too. I think that tureen is a bit small for the table size. I'm good with the buffet too.

Well, Luv. Where do we go from here. Carpet? Post a picture when you are done with the table and get your white hydrangeas in the pink vase. And the plate over the mirror.

Yes, Luvs tureen is probably too small. I would keep my eyes open when garage sailing ore scouring thrift shops for something really large to put there! I know you have a lot of things Luv and it looks great! I always like to take stuff away at the end though as it's better to do a little less than to overdo;)!

The room is done...for now. I'm not 100% happy with the decor on the tabletop, buffet or curio cabinet, but it will do for now. My life is about to get very busy for the next 4 weeks. As soon as I get a chance I will lengthen the curtains and play around with the other stuff.

Thanks so much to all of you that spent so much time helping me with this room. I was able to use what I had. I only had to purchase the lighting and the curtains. The rest are mostly family heirlooms that have been hidden away. I'm thrilled that I am now able to enjoy looking at things that go back to my great grandparents. I will look at rugs down the road, but for now I'm very happy with how the room turned out.

I see a romantic dinner for two in your future. Congrats!

Oh, my. I could just cry it turned out so well. The lighting really compliments the furniture and the room looks so fresh which is saying something when antiques are involved. It was a real pleasure helping you. I'm glad you are pleased. Is hubby happy?

Yes, Old English. It's not great, but it will do. Hubby likes it, and I think he's really happy that he wasn't around most of the time I kept moving things around. :-)

I think you used your things so well and as a contributor to your question? It was tremendously satisfying to see you try new things even when you were not 100% sure they would work and some of them? Worked out brilliantly: I absolutely love the plates on the wall. And now that so many of your treasures are out where you can see and enjoy them....
