We are changing the roof as well, so there is opportunity for skylight above. Flooring suggestion seems doable as well. I will discuss it with your reno team.

Yes. We talked about it with reno guys. We want to move things around.

Do you have additional closet space elsewhere? Can those closets showing be a part of the demo/reno?

Right now, these are the only closets for master bedroom as shown in the picture.

I'd make a list of everything that you would want in it. some questions to ask yourself: do you want two sinks? I only see one but there appears to be two vanities. would like the sinks to be side by side? do like the tub shower combo or would you prefer just a shower? would you like the toilet in its own water closet? would you prefer built-in cabinets instead of the closets? can you take any space from the master bedroom or adjacent room?

given the width of the space, there is not a lot that can be done with the configuration. if you choose to keep this foot print, I would move sinks to exterior wall and move closet space to the opposite wall. I would put a celerestory window(s) above the vanity. I would put a clerestory above the pocket door to that goes into tub/shower/toilet. of course, I would never turn down the option of a skylight in the either room of this bathroom.

Your Master Bath with the walk thru his & her mirror door closets is really outdated. I understand why you want a dramatic change as that arrangement makes it feel too tight for sharing. I have a suggestion which will achieve the change you requested, but is your family lifestyle ready for what it takes? The bathroom and closet must switch places. The benefit will be a better walk in closet with three walls and a bright and airy open bathroom. I hope you see the benefits in this plan in the same floor space. All you have to do is walk a bit farther to get to your wardrobe closet. Happy Holidays, Scott

This is my suggestion for the new bath entry image. The toilet and roller holder are hidden from view.

I suggest his & her towel bars on the back of the entry door. It saves space while keeping the towels handy from the shower.

I suggest one sink that is balanced on the window wall with twin mirrors and light fixtures. If the wall depth is sufficient these would make great His & Her recessed mirror medicine cabinets. The window ledge would make a great place to grow African violets - a bit old school, but always showy with flowers.

Your space is too tight for a full tub and shower. Be happy with this until you can buy a larger home.

Unless you can undertake costly renovations to make more room in your bathroom, I suggest you go with scottdavisarch's suggestions. It's just too tight as it is to try to go for more. Best wishes.

I have no idea how the 2500 Sq feet are diced up, but it sounds like you are doing a total gut job. The time is right to make the space what you want. For me, I would not waste my money with reconfiguring the current space without taking some space from another area or finding a space some where else for closets.
