I really need to change my furniture around. Did the bedroom last weekend and now need to focus on the rest of the house.

I really need to edit, declutter my bookshelves. Redecorating them is something I enjoy but now I have accumulated too much and I really really hate deciding what stays and what goes. I will not let myself purchase even one new item for inspiration until the chore is done. Does anyone have a suggestion to get me going? I have built in bookcases in several rooms and need to get busy.

I always forget about how candles set an ambiance. I am going to shop for candles and candle holders.

As it is starting to get a little chilly, here in Australia, I am going to have to take all my decorations off the wood heater and find new homes for them. I find it a great time to reorganise all my shelves and other spots. Gives the house a whole new look, along with the blankets, chopped wood and other winter necessities that come out about now.

I have literally, over a thousand books. I categorized them by genre or subject material. For me, it's the easiest and fastest way to locate a book.

I have an extra small bedroom that I will make into a guest bedroom. Right now it's a catch-all room, and most of the stuff is targeted for a garage sale. A fresh coat of paint, arrange the furniture and put up some art work and voila!

    Rearrange the furniture!

There's something about rearranging the furniture at home that makes it feel like a whole new place.

And it's free, only costing the time it takes to plan and do the work.

I rearrange my rooms all the time. I love candles and have them all over already. I just painted my living room, dinning room and remodeled my kitchen. So now I would like to do something new with all my old picture frames.

Add some scent..touch some essential oils on the back of the padded furniture, put some cinnamon sticks in the kitchen, potpourri or some such, nothing too strong, just something pleasant.
