This hood doesn't look like much but the shine adds light and the ability to have a lighter tile behind it helps too. The space would also look larger. Especially with white or the class added to the cabinets.

This one is closest to our upper cabinets' dimensions; I don't think the inserts actually lighten the look that much. Plus it emphasizes vertical lines when horizontal would be preferable.
