We like the stacked stone and floating shelves idea for the living room surrounding (and on either side) of the TV and fireplace.
Picture this kitchen with brown where they have black. I also like the continuation of the counter as a backsplash, especially if we use a busy tile in the downstairs bar. Or we could do that in reverse. Busier tile in the kitchen and something subtle in the bar.
Maybe blueish for the upstairs bar in the game room. A little more navy blue.

If the bottom cabinets were brown, the island cabinets brown, and there was hardware on the cabinets, I'd like this.
