VARIETIES/DETAILS: The stone wall is a change in the room which has neutral wall colors. This makes the room more interesting and gives your eye more to look at.

RADIATION: The art piece on the wall has lines that continue outwards, resembling a sun.

GRADATION: The color on the wall by the tub, gradually changes from a bright aqua green color to a lighter color.

PROPORTION: The lamp shade is proportionate with the base of the lamp. The shade isn't too big or small for the base.

SCALE: The furniture is with scale with each other. The size of the objects are all the same relative size.

UNITY/HARMONY: All of the parts of desgin are centalled around whites and grays. There is also symmetry, creating balance that makes the design of the kitchen pleasing.

TRANSITION: The curved lines of the arches carry the eyes from one side of the wall to the other.

OPPOSITION: On the walls the color abruptly changes from a neutral gray to a blue. This makes the room more interesting and exciting.

RHYTHM: The shower tiles have a rhythm that makes your eye move from one side of the shower to the other and has an organized pattern.

EMPHASIS: The bright blue and green picture on the wall immediately draws your eye towards it.

BALANCE: Shows symmetrical or formal balance. The bookshelves are identical on either side of the picture frame and couch.
