My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Family Room

Would consider Family Room, as the more casual living space near the kitchen and eating area. Would like a cozy feel with fireplace and TV. Would like to be able to see what is going on in Family Room from Kitchen, but I don't want it to be "one big room"-I don't like open floor plans. Some of the ideas for a Family Room vs Living Room are interchangeable.

I am not dead set on the layout, and I’m wondering how the rooms will be connected. In this picture it looks like a living room and then a small little area with bookcases and then a family room. Could you have pocket doors between that family room and the living room?
