What about doing a full length decorative hood like this on the stove wall since we aren't doing cabinets. It would be high enough so it wouldn't interfere with crock pot or other appliance on the counter. Also high enough to not be a head knocker. Would be easy to mount light the full length under it. Would also solve the backsplash issue. It would be roughly 3' between the counter top and hood instead of 6' of backsplash if it went all the way to the ceiling.

Idea for two difference back splashes in the same kitchen. Could do one in the stove nook and the other on the wall around the stove.

Wall with no cabinets and full height backsplash

like the side by side layout with double drawers underneath.

Backsplash pattern alternating with other colors. OK WE CAN DO THIS OR ALTERNATING SHEENS OF THE SAME TILE
Q

Lighter backsplash in patterns. OK

Like a lighter back splash in patterns. OK

IS THIS YOUR SAVE OR DID IT GET PUT HERE BY MISTAKE?

Like the textured backsplash. Not sure if white would work with our countertops. Might need to do a color? OK WE CAN TAKE A LOOK AT THIS

NOTED!

Like the backsplash and hood. OK, I LIKE THE OTHER SELECTION BETTER

Like these lights! NOTED!

Hood backsplash idea. Would have to get the color of tile right so it works with the marble look countertop. Like the subtle pattern that would still bring light. VERY PRETTY, WHAT ABOUT FLOATING SHELVES IN THIS PICTURE?
Q

Like the way the backsplash runs all the way to the ceiling around the hood. Anna doesn't like the backsplash to be the same material as the countertop though. NOTED ON BOTH, I LOVE THE WOOD HEADER HERE ALSO, THOUGHTS?
Q

Really like this countertop with the thick edge and the waterfall. LOVE!

Appliance garage. Maybe where current refridge is? Would like to store toaster oven, can opener and smoothie maker. NOTED!

Grey cabinets might be ok as well, just not sure how they look against grey floor - or too drab? MAYBE A LIGHTER SHADE OF GRAY. I HAVE SOME BLUE PAINT SWATCHES ALSO THAT WE CAN LOOK AT!
Q
Photo
I like the blue tones for cabinets. Not sure if that would be bright enough though. While I like the busy tile backsplash here, I don't think it would work in the large area we have. IT'S VERY PRETTY. I THINK WE CAN PUT TOGETHER A COUPLE OF PALLETTES AND SEE WHICH ONE YOU GUYS LIKE BEST

Chris likes the waterfall edge on the end by the current fridge location. Want overhang on 2 sides for seating. Keep barstools that we have now. Add 2 backless stools to the end by the table that can be tucked in and completely pushed out of the way when not in use. OK NOTED

Like the quartz top, with a thicker edge. Like having 2 colors of cabinets to try to keep the kitchen not so brown. Want island to be wood, similar to the fireplace mantle color. Like the bright look.
Q
Photo
Like a mix of wood cabinets on the bottom (island) and painted cabinets for the top and maybe side wall with ovens. Bold tile is nice in a small area, but not this pattern. Not sure if bold pattern would work with mountain modern.
Q

Want spices handy near the stove.

Another style hood from Raw Urth if you like the idea of matching with fireplace metal. Horrid backsplash in this picture though!
Q

Do you think a hood made out of the same material as the fireplace metal would look good? Open to that or stainless look. Raw Urth is the company.

Panel freezer. 18” will work. Want cabinet front. Don’t have to have freezer and fridge side by side if layout works better apart. Would be nice if we could make a 24" work. 18" is awfully small. OK I'LL LAY IT OUT AND SEE
Q

Panel fridge (30”). Want a cabinet front instead of SS door. NOTED
Q

Bosch example of side opening oven, steam oven/warming drawer in a side by side configuration with drawers below for dishes. I LIKE IT! NOTED
Q

Sleek thermador stack of steam oven, conventional oven and warming drawer. WILL SEE WHICH COMBO IS BEST
Q

Love the thick and modern edge for the island and counters NOTED!
Q

Must have an induction cooktop. Pretty much set on Thermador cooktop, frameless. NOTED!

Must have Marble Looking Quartz counter tops. NOTED!
Must have stainless steel, apron front, no divider style kitchen sink. Current sink is 30”. Keeping to 30” would work well. OK DO YOU WANT ME TO LAY OUT BOTH SIZES?
