Tile layout is unconventional, but makes the small accent area larger and more impactful. I don’t know if you have the space for something so dramatic, but it’s cool.

This is the recessed, built in shelving idea I was trying to explain. *we do have one recessed shelf right inside the door.... it cannot be open like this. must have door.

Glass subway tiles make an impact. I think they’re pricey, though. Knowing the square footage of tile will help you know if it’s something you want to splurge for.

Another option to bring in that color you like might be in the countertop. Less expensive subway tiles with a dramatic counter.
