Thank you liasch for the description; artistic multicultural ambiace. Exactly what I’m going for. As for the quilting idea; that’s where I started. I looked at quilted sofa covers and decided I wanted to make custom quilt. I’ve gotten pretty far on the research . I’ve been in contact with people that do the quilting . It’s called long arm machine. They charge by the square inch. Remember I posted some grey paisley fabric. Anyway, have not totally let that idea go. Could still be used for seat. After experimenting with covering couch with kantha quilt, I finally took the suggestion of taking cushions off and replacing with pillows.
seajay, I have been weighing the mess factor. If this ends up looking good and comfortable, it will be worth it. With big cushions, it never looks good. I’m thing of it sort of like a bed. When I’m in it I can adjust things to suit my comfort and then just straighten after. Pillows a lot easier to deal With. What site are you seeing those pillows? Also where are the Buddha’s. If you order pillows, will be interested in how you like them. There are so many places for pillows! Seems like Etsy is the place to be. For huge variety, you should check out Society6. I bet you’ll find things you like even better than those. Worth taking a look. Seriously. The designs are great, but not sure what the fabric is.
liasch, the poem you posted for pool is perfect. So true. We assimilate and change. Never goes away. I’ve had so much Death in recent years. I’m grateful that I often have vivid dreams about those I’ve lost. Usually even aware in the dream that they are gone. They aren’t gone.
Anyway, hope I covered everything. I know that the fabric won’t be as vibrant as inspo couch but still hopeful that it will work. Going to track down availability of some of these samples. Thanks for being around
