tiles inlaid into the wood flooring to create a separate kitchen area is interesting. NB. I thought of having wood/wood effect right through the house to create the sense of a seaside/countryside cabin/ship's deck. The floor space is small 600 sq foot so I thought one floor covering throughout would make the space seem as big as possible.. but I also think different textures and designs creates interest and so if a tiled area works Id be interested in that if it doesnt make the space feel smaller
