I love the classic looking entrance (other than the open gables and stone pillars) and general symmetry of the front. This is a good mix of classic, but cozy. Love all the windows especially around the entrance!

Really like the overall feel of the house, but don't like Gambrel or Mansard roof styles which seem to often coincide with the shingled look. I like the cross between formal yet charming, but especially like the use of columns around the front entry, the soft look of the stone and all the window trim and the soft white color of the trim.

I know this house looks VERY underwhelming in the photos and opposite of all the other pictures in this Ideabook, but it is a beautiful, classic but cozy looking shingled house in downtown LG. It looks much better in person if you get a chance to drive by and snoop. The address is 322 Almendra Avenue at the corner of Massol Ave. I don't like the color of the house (WAY too dark), but I love the overall look and feel including the roof and landscaping. However, it is missing that formal and symmetrical entrance and I would prefer different, more and much larger windows in general.
