Don't like much about this, but at lease someone was smart enough to add hand rails to access the spa. I know ours won't be this elevated, but PLEASE add some type of architecturally appealing hand rail support or at least something to lean against while entering and exiting both the Spa and Pool, on at least 1 side, or both sides, depending on the look. But ease of entry and exit must be considered for the elderly. Don't want something that only younger people can enjoy.
We like the open style roof structure. The central floor area with it's stamped and colored concrete is also nice looking. We also like the idea of having the water falling sound affect, that the water squirting out of the column support base adds, but we don't like the way this particular pool builder achieved it. That little squirt of water looks more like an after thought.
I like the way the flat work is slopped to drain away from the pool This would definitely help to keep the water clean of debris, and minimize rain water pouring into the pool. I like the long stair steps and the way the pool wraps out to accommodate them with minimal intrusion into the swimming area. Also like the extended first step, lets you get out a bit, before taking the plunge.
I like the simplicity of the layout with everything at 1 elevation or level. Don't want to be climbing steps or dodging rocks to get around the majority of the pool area. However, we would be willing to disrupt the continuity with a waterfall and inset cave structure on the west side to partially block the hot afternoon sun.
I like the idea of being able to lay down along the area where the water is less than a inch deep, keeping one side of body cool while being able to catch some sun. It is imperative that our pool be designed to minimize the heat absorbed by the sun. Would like very much to make every effort at keeping water temps down.
We like that the majority of the pool is accessible, like the wavy steps, like the shallow water area where the chair is shown, like the timber shade structure, and we particularly like how the stone work around the perimeter edge of the pool is not the same-ole same-ole dull contrasting look. This is different, and in our opinion compliments the pool and flatwork. We like just about everything about this pool
