Face base cabinet for island out toward wall instead of toward kitchen
Shelf height placement to cabinet next itand the tile height to it
Tile only to bottom of shelf instead of to ceiling

Move top to hang over on other side (side with windows). Put a chair at the end and another on the right and 2 stools along the side. Put side with cabinet doors facing the kitchen and shiplap on the side with the overhang.
