Could locate the range between two windows. Add a new window to the north flanking the range. Sink on an island (if enough space) or the opposite wall or on a peninsula facing the west window wall (currently dining).

Prob. too modern in style and, but I wanted you to see the island (which could be a peninsula) to table idea. That type of arrangement could work well along the walkway between living and dining.
