The soft, cushy, low profile sofas have just made it to the down-sized list. The Chinese chairs with the wonderful bowed arms encircling the base of the chair are a definite in. In all honesty, I love one of those chairs over the couch, anyday.

This couch is a decorator suggestion for over Persian carpet...made statement that heavy leather was too bulky, and competed with smaller detail of carpet and that visible legs worked better to match smaller detail in carpet.
