Thomas Old- Not so much the brass fixtures, but I'm surprised how much I like the navy cabinets, especially with the white backsplash. I had also been picturing a stainless sink, but I like the porcelain in this design. Also, I don't think that our kitchen overhang will be this deep, but I like this feel of this one. It seems cozy verses the large, vaulted dining area. While I don't like that specific lighting fixture, it shows that the overhang can give you some options for good lighting on the work spaces.
Sarah will hate it but I love it. I like that you can light the island area and also I think it would be good for us to have a real range hood instead of a pop up one. I would need to see the ceiling height in this area to see if it would fit, but I definitely want it high enough so that it wouldn't block eye contact from someone in the kitchen to the dining area. It would also need enough height between the sail and the ceiling to feel right. We're both split on if we like the wrapped counter top. I think I like it but not for us. I really like the quartz on the simple wooden island that we have now..
These are our current countertops which we have really liked. Some of the chips are clear and it adds depth especially in low light. Also the cabinets in the background have been great. Simple modern farmhouse vibe.
