Maybe I free up more room for a hinoki style tub if it goes along the west wall and is oriented perpendicular to a shower where the shower goes east-west. If there's room given the door. Also this place seems to have a low ceiling and not much natural light and looks good, could go similar. Like the charcoal shingle look on the wall as well. Later update- probably no room for a tub. And as cool as the sink is, vessel sinks are a bitch to clean
A black stone or tile veneer on just the west wall, rest with some wood highlights?
rain head, a wand, and the in-wall storage
Maybe this orientation? Little ofuro where the shower currently is, shower where the bath is, partial glass screen dividing that from the sink and toilet?
Lends the asian style light wooden sink appearance
Wall cutout for shower storage
Add an interior door like this one for some style?
This kind of wood manages to look distinctive but avoids the MCM thing
Hinoki or cedar wood header around top of walls could lend the lighter air Im looking for
Could do a shorter version of this. Build a sitting bath, use the corner for a shower seat, glass wall to block off the sink and toilet, walk into shower
Freestanding Ofuro tub could conserve space, lend japanese air, but still give Gio a bathtub
Ignore the rest of the bathroom but I like the shelves in the dividing wall for the bathtub
