love this idea because we are so messy and we don't like clutter and i don't love the look of the air fryer and coffeemaker on counter

this might be similar to what we would want with main cabinets white and accent on one set of cabinets or island and gold hardware. i like the herringbone backsplash but rich is unsure. I prefer some pain on walls to expansive backsplash everywhere.

this light looks nice in front of the window (but don't like backsplash counter top to ceiling. i realized after I marked this that Chris had wall lights over the window and that is fine too. we can focus on the pendants over the island if that is better

if bad idea to create some blue cabinets then perhaps that color can be introduced in the paint color instead
