*Blue or aqua or sea-green subway tile for backsplash. Would also be into a white backsplash but already tired of white subway tile so don't want to use that. Love this look but probably too pricey. Maybe glass subway tile instead?
*Wood or black accents (countertop or island or some combination)
*Horizontal planking at island/bar side? Do you think we could incorporate wood for that?
*Not a fan of heavily patterned or veined stone.
*Don't want it to be too cold and austere since our flooring is polished concrete
*Glass pendant lights for bar area... love these and glass globe pendants. Also, metal pendant lights or barn lights are another possibility. Schoolhouse Electric has a bunch of lighting styles that I adore
