I do like the window, the casing is wide and white at the bottom of the cupboards. Not sure about painting the kitchen/dining room windows and casing white and leaving the wood casing and trim around the doors. Notice the stainless steel appliances. Do you think white appliances work with white countertops and white tile? It is a superb example though of your suggestion to consider a white cabinet.
Love the stain on the cabinets, love the tile, wonder if the appliances are white ?? Love the design of upper cabinets to the ceiling with glass doors, (high where no one can see the dust) I do like the white island but that is the trend now, is that maintaining the integrity of a vintage home. i.e. a refresh as opposed to a reno. When reading about painting oak many people notice the grain showing through. I'll show you the wall units when come over. They weren't professionally done though.
