Maybe we do half shoes and half shelves with bins at the end of the bench on the northwest wall. Three shelves with bins (One for each of us) and the rest whatever shoes we can fit. The bins would be low so that Monte can get them. Then we can carve out the smaller space in the coat closet for additional shoes if needed
