is that where you got this wood? if so, what wood is that? i went to ctriverlumber and found their pricing rather high and much that was offered was coming from North Carolina where I was expected to pay hundreds of $$$ in freight. CT seems to have a lot of its own wood so i didnt understand the NC aspect. second suggestion? thanks very much!

The interior window is approximately 30x60, it was custom made but only as a single-pane sash that was then framed in and trimmed around in the field.

The countertops are walnut. There are companies that fabricate prefinished countertops - and even sinks! - in all sorts of wood species.
