Love the windows above counter looking outside.
Note the table. With our chairs at the Hill House, a shelf under the table, this would work well for counter instead of island/L.
Again, the floor. Works throughout house.
Again, the floor.
Great kitchen. Note the floor.....love it.
This could absolutely work. Open the kitchen through family room. Main thing are the minimal bugs we get, although we do get them. Perhaps some airflow system would prevent them from coming in.
I've always wanted a Dutch door......with mantel though.
The carpet really makes this one......very much us.
Love this.
Wow! This concept is fantastic......and the few to follow.....open the house to the outside.
I love the feel of this with the table in the window for Mark's and my home.......doesn't quite work for us, but food for thought.
The pantry and laundry would be behind the stove in this case. I also like the nook looking out to the yard to the right of the door to "pantry".
Opposite wall from pantry wall.......the laundry.
For Mark's and my house......pantry shelves nicely spaced and painted/finished white.
Note color of countertop.
Note wall of cabinets with wooden top. Not keen on cabinet door though.....not sure about hardware.
again, cabinets/countertops. Like these cabinets and the previous countertops.
door style, counter tops, wooden floors
Old hardware, note top and appliance colors
where do the chairs come from?
Non-digital control nobs make the use of these ovens very easy.
Note the counters w/above cabinets w/glass fronts and underlighting. Dad will end up with counter space to the left of the entrance from the hallway.
Pantry
Dad's w/minimal expansion? Get rid of backdoor access entirely.
Refrigerator at end between door to outside and door to dining room? Still looks huge.......how to hide a refrigerator?
Ovens or other appliances in island? Refrigerator/freezer units? Also, along wall with shute (sp?), like idea of bookcase, but would want some doors......would probably put some pots/pans you don't really want to see.
Again, if can relocate bathroom door, stove possibly at end with sink where originally placed. Do not like the placement of the refrigerator though.
Could fit w/expansion toward garage, changing bathroom door placement, and possibly no direct access to backyard.
check layout on window side.
Hilltop House....note the open staircase and use of wood throughout. The wall ovens here are the Thermador I like. I would prefer a larger/wider refrigerator/freezer.
Under cabinet light is key
Back by bathroom/door to outside
Floor? Dad may not want wood.
Note ovens and stovetop. Could do reverse, w/double ovens where refrigerator was and laundry shute in middle
Double oven....place in same place as before; to left of sink. Stove top w/vent where use to be.....light good.
Counters/cabinets
Frig/oven unit
Good size refrigerator/freezer, but prefer cabinet finish
Again, shelving by back door to outside using beadboard.
Shows what can be done by opening up a small home.
