J: so cosy and warm with the fireplace and book shelves. Looks like such an inviting place to curl up and have a cup of tea. The lounge suite looks really inviting with all the fluffy pillows ...not too sure about the painting S: mantle is too tall and I'd have broken up all the books with some open sections for photos, or just empty space, but otherwise looks really nice.
J: the windows above the doors allow more natural light in. The doors are quite nice but the squares are slightly narrow? Very homely, spacious and looks really comfy and inviting S: soft linens on the couches help the comfy look. Agree with everything. This is from that movie "something's gotta give"
J: great open plan space. Kitchen can see everything from dining table (kids homework??) to living room (kids playing or watching TV here?) although they might complain of the cooking noise when watching TV... Waste of space above the kitchen cabinets? Wouldn't you want to extend all the way to the top? S: this looks nice and elegant. I like it. It would be good to be able to separate it off for noise issue. I agree to use the space, never enough storage
J: love the natural light here. Doors are pretty. Hurricane lights and grand piano are a nice touch.... But don't think we could justify a grand piano given our musical talents S: normal piano would be fine! Really light. The porthole windows aren't good and I also don't particularly like the curved windows above the doors
S. the overall feel is very warm and comforting. I like the built in cabinetry but prefer no opening at the top (dust trap). The tall curtains are good as well, window above doors should make the room lighter J: love the French doors. Makes room very bright prefer doors over Bi-fold. Fireplace too big. Built in cabinetry gives it a streamline look but will be forever so can't really change the look of place easily.... but that's ok. Should build cabinetry to the top. Love the ceiling but think will be cobweb collector so best not to have it. Plus will be more exy
S. so beautiful and light. Curtains are lovely, like the doors and window above too. The high fireplace is interesting. Kind of functional but does it look odd? Nice furniture too although would prefer a normal coffee table J: love the French doors. Good idea re several curtains so can open/close parts as opposed to force closure from one side or the other. Don't like the raised fireplace. Don't like how the cabinetry is recessed with wall section showing.
S. love the feeling here. Great fireplace, nice furniture, the window seats are awesome. Very simple and elegant, with a seamless flow from inside to outside, although I know we probably prefer French doors to Bi folds for practicality. Don't like the curtains in the window seats J: nice relaxed feel to the place. Like the bay windows. Nice floorboard colour. Nice fireplace. Practically with allergy to mosquito bites, will never open bifold doors. So prefer French doors but even then, have hidden mosquito netting for when we want to open the doors to let some fresh air in.
Don’t like curtains, like the colour and the lamps.
