The story of the traveling imaginarium begins with anexisting roll-off frame. With some imagination and intention this banal objectis transformed into a space where the possibilities become endless, the stageis set and the play is waiting to be written. Each activity area in and aroundthe tree house offers an alternative view of the surroundings which can in turninfluence the use of the space. The myriad activities provide opportunities forsocial engagement and encourages the participant’s imaginations to run wild!
Once the imaginariuminstallation at the initial project location is finished the life of theIMAGINARIUM is essentially just beginning. While the typical tree house is afixed structure the IMAGINARIUM is designed to be packed up within its ownstructure and easily transported to virtually any destination. The IMAGINARIUMcan go on a northeast Ohio tour with potential destinations being; the HoldenArboretum, Cleveland Metroparks, urban gardens, and public parks and libraries.Through minimal sponsorship and partnership with local organizations, theIMAGINARIUM can be more that a competition entry. It can be a catalyst forlocal businesses, organizations, and community interaction.
