Disguise an ugly plant potMost plants come in plastic pots and often we keep meaning to find something to transplant it into, but the choice is often dull and expensive. As a unique alternative decorate a larger tub and drop the plant pot into it. Pick up a tub that’s big enough to put the plastic pot inside (or a waste bin) and start by painting the edges and feet if there are any with a metallic craft paint. Cut an offcut of wallpaper to size to neatly wrap all the way round (position the pattern appropriately) and glue in place.
Decorate your waste paper binWaste bins are a necessary way to keep rubbish tamed but so often they’re really boring and bland. This is such an easy project to do - decorate yours to make it unusual, funny, or just rather lovely. To make something that resembles these, use pieces of decorative paper either cut to size and glued in place, or wrapped round if it’s cylindrical. If you need to start from scratch, pick up a solid cardboard or wooden version for easy sticking. You can always do a coat of clear varnish over the wallpaper to protect it if you wish - test on an offcut first to see that the varnish won’t discolour the paper.
