If comforting and cozy is how you like your sleeping space, this is a good palette to go for. The warm yellow (warm because it veers more orange than green) and warm white join forces here with warm wood tones to create a bedroom that brilliantly balances lively and energetic with homey and restful. For a similar look: An assertive hue such as Dutch Boy’s Honeybee Yellow is mellowed out nicely when paired with plenty of warm white. Washed Cotton by Dutch Boy is a great option for a super subtle warm shade of white.

This room showcases a few of my favorite soft and soothing hues for bedrooms: a light sea-glass green, a warm gray and an ethereal blue. Cheerful colors. Use bold colors for items that are easy and inexpensive to change or replace. Here, the walls are painted a mellow shade of yellow and the bolder colors are reserved for the bedding. Imagine this same bedroom with all white linens — it would have a completely different feel.
