Good storage ideas and I like the idea of zones for coffee/drinks, etc.
Love the warmth of the wood, the ample view and offset of color in the island. The sage green brings in the natural element but I wouldn't mind a different color, perhaps a blue.
Industrial meets rustic....like the SS countertops, too!
The wall of cabinets is good, as is the island containing sink and stove top. It really opens up for interacting with others while cooking and looks to have plenty of prep space.
I like the flat panel cabs and the windows opening to the outside.
Love the retracting walls and moveable island! I don't like the stove butting up against the wall.
Like the overall tone of the room, due to cabinet color.
Ideal storage for heavier casserole dishes and larger, awkward pieces.
Clean lines but somewhat rustic.
Sweet!
Definitely like the drawers vs doors on the cabinets. I like the hardware style, but on a flat panel, maybe something a bit less conspicuous.
I like the flat panel cabinets and the color. It makes the room seem brighter. Perhaps a bit more contrast with the floor covering, though.
Colorful
I like the clean lines and the idea of a roll under table.
If this opened onto a screened patio....yes, please!!
I like this idea of the table on wheels and don't think it would necessarily have to be quite as industrial looking.
I like this....they're not on the counter, easy access.
This is a bit darker than I would prefer, the best part is the abundance of storage space. I'd like to have most, if not everything, stored out of sight so countertops are always clear. NTS: store baking sheets above stove, not oils and spices! Love the corner drawers, cabinets with slide outs and appliance garage.
I'm not a fan of an all white kitchen but with that glass tiled wall...wow!!
Spacious and love the windows
The Galley Kitchen - check into this!
Subway/glass tiles...nice way to add some color, but should use gray or darker caulk if it's near stove.
I like the contrast on this island, whereas I normally don't like an island that's a different color from the cabinets. Guess it's because the countertop is dark, like the cabinets.
I like the style and color of these cabinets, and the hardware.
Slate floor, raise the fireplace; I like the different height countertops and even the lack of upper cabinets (as long as there is sufficient storage elsewhere).
Like this fireplace - add a pot hook for the cast iron dutch oven and, voila!
I never thought about it before, but really like the idea of comfy chairs for a morning cup of coffee, etc, while still having a small dining table for informal meals.
Not enough color, but I love the layout/openness and put a different backsplash behind the stovetop.
I like the layout but would rather have the cupboards a darker color. Love the big window over the apron sink.
Drawers instead of cabinets for easier access. BE SURE to read all the comments on this article as there are some great ideas when doing a reno or original build !!!
