The angle of the picture is allowing for the picture on the wall to have a large SCALE compared to the furniture on the opposite wall.

The architectural scale of this home is massive, and that makes it feel grand. the Proportion of wall decoration to wall makes the space feel even more grand and emphasizes just how tall these ceilings are.

The scale of the windows and the scale of the doors is off, I would like to see taller doors. but then again, the scale of the furniture is different than that of the windows as well.

The proportion of the rug to space on the floor is off in my opinion. I understand they are trying to center the rug between the 2 pillars, but its not working.
