Yes, our house isn't dramatic so too much of anything would feel out of place, but I think the length in the house can handle playing with different finishes like this on the ceilings, possibly floors too. I like the cozy kitchen-to-dining transition, open but separate. -A
Nice arrangement of windows. Looks like it follows a grid system. There's cohesion even with windows of different sizes. Small trim makes it feel cleaner too. Not sure what kind of siding that is but the fact that they are skinnier makes it feel more modern too. I love it. Windowlar without screaming "look at me windows!!!" -A
