Curves, nice feel going downhill. Maint with heavy downpours affecting? Flower beds: a section that's all this ((maybe the thing in our front yard.), Maybe below the teahouse. Then another section of low green clump grass in the lower yard by water.
Small planters for either side of entry to patio from living room.
Japanese Maple is a delicate privacy tree .... when it has leaves. Down by lower yard? Also, low maintenance. Not a lot of shedding.
