This would be a whole other way to go: make the square footage of the kitchen area larger, but open it up entirely to the living room. Not sure about this, but a thought.
It might still be good to have an open kitchen, but to have the wall bumped out to make the kitchen larger.
Roll out shelves are also great. And I'd like a narrow cabinet for cookie sheets and muffin tins.

The creams and blues are nice and might tie it into my living room color scheme. Perhaps this can be achieved by using some blue, but less of it.
I like that is uses warm colors/cabinetry but keeps the stainless appliances. I may want to save money by using my existing appliances. This overall look is a little too country for what I'm looking for.
This is a nice u-shaped kitchen. I prefer creams and beiges to this white one. This is too light to me, and not warm enough.
