([DD] Comparing pix, I like the darker water-look, but prefer one of the other images with the lighter border. Plus, the minimal deck works for the other pic, where the surrounding yard seems small. With a yard as large as the one depicted here, it feels too small. The other picture with a thin deck that you've posted (and that I've labeled with "thin deck with larger decking on end" is nicer.)
