My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

AGORA architecture + design is an experienced and versatile architectural practice, based in Edinburgh and working throughout Scotland, and sometimes beyond. Our experience covers house renovations, loft conversions, sensitive extensions and alterations to listed properties; new-build housing; educational projects; and commercial office and retail environments. We also work with community groups and charities. At AGORA architecture + design we believe that every project is individual. We don’t have a house style, and we will listen to your needs and respond with bespoke solutions. We offer a wide range of architectural services to suit your needs. We regularly collaborate with other professionals and creatives, and can bring more than just our design skills to a project. We aim to produce high quality architecture that provides good value and enjoyment for our clients.

Agora took our mess of a layout and turned it into a home that works for us and which we can see ourselves growing into. They created a layout that's practical and just makes sense, managed the whole process with incredible attention to detail, and steered us away from decisions that, in retrospect, we'd have regretted. Absolutely the people to see if you need home renovations done. Highly recommended.

We used AGORA architecture to reconfigure the ground floor of our house. Lorna took the time to really get to know us and what we needed from the property. We were nervous about what the job would entail but with Lorna project managing all the big stresses were taken away allowing us to consider the final fixtures. We could not be happier with the space created it is exactly what we wanted and needed. We would definitely use AGORA Architecture in the future.

Lorna has designed a beautiful and practical divider for the kids room in our Stockbridge home. With features such as secret compartments with swivelling covers or open porthole so they can see each other, talk and pass items over. The boys love their new separate “rooms” and the whole thing is designed so it can easily be dismantled and moved without damage to either walls or floor. Delighted with the result and Lorna was a pleasure to work with during the process.
