My husband and I had Childress & Cunningham build a house in the woods overlooking the Ohio river in Hebron Ky. The project needed profession and very talented experenced team to complete this task. They were the architects and primary builder of our house. The final house was better than anticipated. They took everything/space into concederation and made the most of our money. Our home was designed and built by this firm. Excellent input by architects on design options and materials with consideration to budget. The details in every room supported the theme selected for the house. Construction quality proved to be so good that it looked like new when we sold it after 18 years. Every member of the staff was professional and easy to work with.

Allan Childress worked with us to add 1500 sq ft onto a 100 yr old cottage in Cincinnati. The house is located on a very small lot right on a main street. It was a very challenging project! He worked with us from conceptual design through complete architectural drawings, He managed getting the project plans approved with the city and consulted with us throughout construction. His input was visionary and the finished product is exceptional. He is very easy to work with, he can quickly create images from ideas, he listens and asks wonderful questions which helped us develop an exciting project that exceeded our every expectation. He is excellent at helping choose high quality materials that fit within our budget. We did not use his firm as general contractor but he has that ability. We felt that he provided excellent value. We always felt that Allan was highly invested in providing us with his very best service!

My husband and I hired Childress & Cunningham to do an addition to our home with the express intent of adapting the first floor to the needs of a person with Parkinson's Disease. Every care was taken to conform to ADA codes, as well as comfort and aesthetics. The new exterior matches the old exterior so well that no one knows where the addition is. The extended first floor includes a first floor master, as well as an elevator which allowed him to access all floors. The company was at all times responsive to our questions, extremely transparent in all respects and has continued to be helpful years after our project was completed.

I hired Childress & Cunningham in 2001, to design and build my home - not a McMansion on an unlimited budget, but a 2400-sf ranch on a decidedly limited one. They listened to me. They improved my ideas. They innovated. They gave me confidence. Their design was exactly what I asked for, only better. They guided me through the construction process, coached me on decisions for materials and finishes, explained what to expect (and not to expect).
