I hired Amy to design a modern new construction home with a number of unique requirements. She was able to skillfully translate my broad vision into an implementable design plan that maximized the use of our lot and space. This was no easy feat considering the conflicting feedback and ambiguous guidelines the city provided. She's also deft at working within a reasonable budget while still maintaining the original intent of the design. As challenges arise like in any construction project, she maintains a relaxed demeanor that makes her a pleasure to work with.

I recently worked with Amy Dempsey of Studio Robins Dempsey on a gut renovation and addition to a residence in Central Austin. A true collaborator, Amy listens to clients' programmatic desires and synthesizes them into creative design solutions that look great and function well for the realities of clients' lives. She is a superb architect with a deep understanding construction (including costs) materiality and interior finishes. She is efficient, organized, smart, inventive and a lot of fun. We pretty much knew immediately after meeting Amy (of Studio Robins Dempsey) that we wanted to hire her to develop plans for our home remodel. She was easy going, listened well, and had no ego.
