I found Sarah (Astute Abode) through Houzz and I couldn’t be more pleased. This was my first major renovation and we started from studs. I knew I needed professional help bringing my “atomic ranch” inspiration to life and I wanted to work with someone who was just as excited. I felt very comfortable from the first consultation. Sarah has impeccable attention to detail and very importantly respected the budget. We involved Sarah in every step of the way - from architectural engineering to furniture selection. I also deeply appreciate Sarah’s transparent communication, which has allowed us to customize the level of support needed throughout the project.

Sarah is so talented. We love her design and great energy! As a general contractor, we needed a color consultation for a recent remodel. We had a lot of the materials selected but we’re struggling with color. Sarah came in, reviewed the project and design elements, and recommended the color to tie it all together perfectly. Sarah has been instrumental in helping me update my main floor of my house. We had a wonderful experience working with Sarah Hay, the founder of Astute Abode Design, on the exterior colors for our North Kitsap home. We have a large house that, although beautiful, has some awkwardness in its exterior design in the back. In the front, more than half of our facade has natural stone with predominantly warm tones. And to make things even more complicated, the original acrylic window frames are stark white... In spite of so many limiting elements, Sarah was able to come up with a great solution to our problem. The new color scheme compliments the peaceful atmosphere of our property and, at the same time, adds a touch of timeless sophistication to our slightly awkward house. Aside from having obvious creative talent, Sarah is a great listener and communicator, and will do her best to incorporate your personal preferences into the final product. Sarah helped me on my entire house with furniture, art, bookshelves, paint, etc. In my experience with her, Sarah was intelligent, timely, fun, and very relatable.
