Main bathroom

The original bathroom was a tiny room (more fitting for a small boat!) so we created a dormer extension of 140 sq ft to the roof space off the main bedroom. it was a blank canvas so it was fun to start from scratch! It was important to create a spa-like feel; a place to really relax and unwind at the end of the day. Features of note are the vanity unit, which came from a consignment shop and was adapted into the sink unit. It was refinished with this intense blue paint which draws your eye as you enter the bathroom and is a lovely pop of colour! The mirrors are heated and come on with the wall lights. They don't steam up while the shower is being used. and can be useful if two people are trying to utilise the space at the same time. There is also a towel warmer that is something I recommend to everyone! It will change your experience of bathing all together! Commonly used in Britain and Europe, they are still considered a little bit of luxury here! To have warm towels as you step out of the shower, on a cold day, is divine! Underfloor heating continues the theme, and the whole space feels like a sanctuary.
