BJ Construction Group

Unfortunately, our overall experience with BJ Construction Group was far from satisfactory once we signed the contract. The team at BJ Construction consisted of the owner, Justin Fara, a Project Manager, and an Operational Assistant. Overall, the company lacks management and oversight of its employees and subcontractors. The Operational Assistant ended up taking on a larger role due to our project manager's lack of follow-through. Justin told us that our project size and scope would be effortless and straightforward and would take between 4-6 weeks as they do many larger condo remodel projects. Our project took a little over 12 weeks due to our project manager's severe lack of management and the team's complete disregard for the project schedule created by the Operational Assistant. Our Project Manager just didn't communicate with us, but it was clear he didn't communicate with the subcontractors on our project and the Operational Assistant, which caused many construction errors and delays. After construction started, it was made clear that we were not happy with the communication, project progress, and quality of work. We had to talk with the owner, Justin Fara, after there wasn't any improvement after speaking with our Project Manager and Operational Assistant. Ultamently, the conversation with Justin did not help our situation with our Project Manager, and things continued to worsen. In good conscience, we cannot recommend BJ Construction Group for any project.

Justin is a professional in the sense that he delivers what is promised in a timely manner and makes himself available when there are deadlines to hit. Even though we didn't get to work together because the project was postponed, his swiftness in preparing the BOR accurately and working with the FHA consultant professionally is the most I could've asked for.

I've worked with Justin and the Team at BJ Construction on several projects now. I cannot speak highly enough about their operation. Their organization, integrity and attention to detail are remarkable!! It's always an absolute pleasure and I look forward to working with the Team again soon! Highly recommend!

I don’t often write reviews, and I probably should do it more, especially when the work is great. We used BJ Construction several times in the past and I get so happy seeing how consistently good they are. Every time they turned around the estimate within 24-48 hours. A few days later, a kind and respectful crew was working at our house. We’ve had a few issues arise, mainly because I tend to be very picky at times. Justin was patient with me, made sure his team fixed the issues to my liking and that the project was exactly where I wanted it when everything was complete. On the most recent project, they were very busy and booked out for several weeks, but we needed something done ASAP before relatives came in for a holiday. Justin and BJ Construction were great in working with me to get what I needed done by my deadline. I never hesitate to give BJ Construction’s name as a referral to my friends and family, I know they will be just as happy with the work as we have been. Keep up the great work guys!!

BJ Construction Group is a class operation. Their professionalism is matched only by their willingness to roll up their sleeves and jump head first into the trenches to solve problems on site. We were very enthusiastic when we met Justin and planned our bathroom remodeling. In fact, we decided to remodel two bathrooms, rather than just one, given the confidence he shared with us. Our bathrooms were projected to take 7 weeks to complete. The price was over our intended budget, but again, we had confidence in BJ and Justin, so we decided to proceed. Both bathrooms were gutted, forcing us to move out of our apartment. We got a late start, due to some issues with materials but were assured that the delays would not result in the project being late. The overall lack of project management and poor communication created a horrible situation. Every deadline that was promised was missed. One deadline promised us a working bathrooom, but when we arrived home we only had a working toilet, no sink, shower or electric completed. The project took over 22 weeks to complete. The apartment was not protected from construction dust and debris, causing damage in rooms outside of the bathroom and dirt though-out the entire unit. We were unable to live in our home for over 4 months. While Bill, the other owner has been apologetic, Justin has been non responsive at times, even going on vacation for a week and halting the project without letting us know. I believe BJ lacks experience in doing anything of scale and should be avoided for any project more than handyman service.

We used BJ Construction for a light renovation to our condo and working with them was smooth and easy. We worked directly with one of the owners and he took all of the work (and stress) out of our hands and really made the whole project so much more achievable than I had ever anticipated. Being the control freak that I am - I touched base with him every day to see where the project was or to provide feedback on progress and he was always quick to respond taking extra time to answer all of my questions without hesitation. I really feel like this company went the extra mile to make sure we were happy in the end, not to mention at a competitive price we could afford! I won't hesitate again to use them for anything from a quick paint job to the kitchen gut job renovation that we're hoping to execute next year!

These guys do excellent work and it was fast. We were very pleased with our results and everyone was very professional. We will definitely use them again in the future.

BJ Construction Group is the ideal company when it comes to working on your home. They make sure you recieve high quality work for a reasonable price. I couldn't be happier with the result of their reconstruction in my home and I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

We had our family room and adjoining kitchen painted. The owner helped us with paint colors and suggestions. When the painter came he was on time, friendly and did an excellent job. We have a vaulted ceiling and the owner himself came back to do touch up on the ceiling. We consulted the owner on re- modeling our kitchen and will be calling them back in the future for that project.

Very satisfied with their work on my basement. Professional, easy to work with, and reasonably priced. They were open to suggestions when it came to the specifics of the project. They were quick to remove all of the surplus materials when the job was done. That has been a major issue with previous contractors. Very happy, would use again.
