Blue Diamond Pools

Most expensive pool opening ever! I’ve been a loyal customer for 5+ years. Opening, water maintenance and closing. Never perfect but always acceptable. Not this year. First botched the start up. Damaged pool pump that they installed less then 2 years ago. Didn’t call me to relay this information with any form of diagnostics or repair options. Simply a text during water care scheduled informing me the pump was not working! I had to call and see for any warranty repair options etc. Pool was down for over a week at this point. They informed me no warranty was available and sent me a quote that was outrageous! Had to contact the manufacturer inquire about possible scenarios in which this could have occurred and spent an entire weekend draining my pool cleaning it and all the jets and circulation system. Installed a new pump. Re filled the pool. All to get the best customer service response! “It was working when we left it!” I will say I cancelled all my service with them and they offered a refund on my chemical and partial on my opening cost. Total $1750.00 Opening cost me $3750.00 I quote. “We open 300 pools a season”. Well now they open 299. That’s my story.

We used this company for leak detection. We had nothing but issues from the beginning. Initially they setup a bypass so we wouldn’t lose water. Because it was such a hot summer and the bypass did Absolutely nothing we had them come and reverse what they had done and chose to continue adding water and having a swimmable pool. They came back and reversed the bypass. They said they added chemicals and should have the pool back by the morning. It took us three weeks of Vacuuming to waste and adding several chemicals to get our pool back. We ended up having our underground lines replaced. They came and had to cut into the concrete to reach the one jet (completely understandable) however they left chunks of concrete in our pool and all over the patio. The concrete patch was absolutely horrible, cracks can be seen along the seam and corners of the patch. I sent an email with pictures and did not get any kind of response. When asked if they had any kind of warranty for the work they did they told me that if they aren’t closing the pool they cannot guarantee the work they did. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Blue Diamond was very diligent with their responses to questions and also setting up a site service for a maintenance project, scheduling before the winter weather took over. The installers were easy to talk to, and they showed up on time ready to complete the project

This company knows what it’s doing. I have a 20 year old concrete pool. They fixed the concrete leaks, changed out liner, upgraded heater, filter, salt generator and open and closed without issues. Fellas are really pleasant and thorough. They don’t mickle and dime you, they just get the job done right. The first time!!!

When we finally decided to finish our backyard and invest in a pool, we knew we wanted to work with a company that was known for their excellent reputation and quality finished product. After researching a number or local companies we decided to go with Blue Diamond Pools. Chase and Adam provided us with a lot of good design ideas and product advice. We are very happy with the finished product and we have enjoyed our pool every day this summer! As with any large scale project, there were some hiccups along the way, but we were very pleased with their prompt resolution. Mark and his team worked in a very timely fashion to address the issues that came to light well after the project finished and we really appreciate that. We also hired Blue Diamond Pools to service and open/close our pool for the season after having a bad experience with another company. Thus far we are very pleased with their work. Had my first service through blue diamond. Had an issue with a rapidly leaking pool. Called blue diamond they came out the next day, very prompt service and super informative. 100 percent will be using blue diamond for next pool servicing!

Blue Diamond designed and installed my custom oversized hot tub/small pool about 4-5 years ago. Clad in stone, embedded in my deck, it turned out to be a real gem. What is incredible is that I have not had a single issue with the pool or equipment -- literally worry free. Great workmanship, design and execution. I'd use them every time. thanks!

Truly I don't know how to thank Chase and Blue Diamond Pools enough! We inherited an old pool system and heater and several quotes and companies tell us what was needed. Blue Diamond Pools were the only ones that said, "It doesn't matter what heater you put back here, if you don't upgrade the gas line you will not get the performance you're looking for." And with that one simple sentence I knew they were the ONLY ones who could fix all and anything. Since the system has been installed it's been temperature perfect and crystal clear blue with little chemicals needed! I am so happy, my wife and kids have never enjoyed the pool so much, and we are beyond grateful for Blue Diamond Pools. Thank Chase! Thank you Blue Diamond Pools! Companies are quick to request reviews as soon as the job is complete ... and we as customers will provide them with great reviews because we're just so happy the job is finished. That's our biggest mistake! We should be proving our review 6 months to a year after the job is finished because that's when true colours shine around responsiveness to issues gone wrong after the fact. Customer Service does not end when the job is finished and it has become very apparent to me that with Blue Diamond Pools (Barrie) the Customer Service stops after they get paid. So originally (right after the job was finished) I gave them a four star rating ... what a mistake!! So I am correcting my rating ... this is my revised review - posted today - just about one year after the job was done. Blue Diamond Pools (Barrie) .. these guys talk the talk, but don't stand behind the products nor their workmanship. From the lack of timely responses to issues, to installing the wrong equipment and passing it off to be something else, to leaking pipes within days of being installed, to the insubordination of their workers with lack of respect and "I know more than you know" attitude - their customer service is non-existent. Blue Diamond Pools (Barrie) only responds once you tell them a complaint to the Better Business Bureau is pending. The new equipment was used for two months with continuous issues with lack of pressure inside the pump. It has been less than 1 year since the install and now upon opening I find there is a cracked coupling which is part of - attached to the tank's main operating mechanism - a crack which could only have happened at the time of install - it's all glued in place by them when they installed it and it is what I now believe to be the cause of the lack of pressure - which they inform me they will not repair. Blue Diamond Pools (Barrie) are worthy of a 1-star rating. This one-star rating, I am providing is because they had the good sense to outsource the actual installation of the liner.

For several months, I worked with pool installation companies from Toronto. There were some challenging issues and they were unable to come up with a design to my liking. I contacted Chase at Blue Diamond, and in no time we came up with a great design that solved all of the technical challenges. Chase and Andrew worked well with my stone mason to install a wonderful spa that we are thrilled with. They were very professional and knowledgeable, and I would definitely recommend them.

Very professional group. Hard working, knowledgeable and actually showed up as opposed to a previous pool contractor I've used. I wouldn't hesitate to use these fine group of men and women again.
