Ed and his crew put a two story addition on our existing ADU. Bottom floor they added storage and on the upper floor they added a small, very detailed bathroom and extended both the living and the bedroom area. They had to match all the existing flooring, siding windows, etc. Came out perfect. I thank them for their efforts.

Bourke Construction did an excellent job on a major remodel in Newport Beach. The property was a duplex from the 1970s and need a lot of work. Ed Bourke and his team worked very diligently and offered many options for addressing the unique aspects of the project. He has an excellent crew and was able to handle all aspects of the project from framing to plumbing and electrical as well as painting. Ed is very easy to communicate with and I was able to contact him anytime and he was always able to answer my questions and send pictures or videos to provide a clear update. I would highly recommend Ed Bourke and his team for a future project.

Bourke Construction completely remodeled our home in Corona Der Mar. They worked on the bedrooms, bathrooms & kitchen. All new drywall was installed as well, flooring and kitchen cabinets. The whole process was smooth & the outcome is amazing.

Ed and Mo are the best. I called Ed because of a loose plank on the deck which was installed by Bourke Construction in 2021. They came by today, 7/23/24 and fixed the plank AND ALSO made an adjustment to my Dutch Doors which were installed in 2018 as part of my remodel. I honestly was ready to pay them for the door repairs because the door fix was due to house settlement, not a result of how they installed the door. No charge. Ed stands behind his work years later.. Ed and his crew are terrific. Over a period of a year and a half they did major remodeling plus many minor repairs to our home in Laguna Niguel. They are punctual, friendly and do a great job.

Ed and his crew did a full house remodel in a fixer upper we bought in Laguna Beach. The entire house was crooked. Ed and his crew jacked everything back up to its current position. They turned a dismal circa 1970's dump, into a super contemporary Laguna Beach home. They replaced the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, stairs and on and on, until they gave us the beautiful home we now have. We would definitely recommend Ed and his crew and will use him again if the occasion arises.

I’ve used Bourke Construction on several jobs. One was a major repair to one side of my home, the others were smaller in scope, I.e., repairs to a leak and water damage to the garage ceiling. Ed responded quickly to my pleas for help and came out to my house right away. We discussed the work that needed to be done and he gave me a reasonable estimate. He performed the work competently and without delay. I have called Ed about other problems and he has always been responsive and helpful, even if he wasn’t available to help. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again and recommend highly to others.

Ed and his team did a major remodel and addition to our home recently in Laguna Beach. We are very happy with the final result. Ed and his team did what they said they would do and were always on time. Ed was always there to answer any questions we may have had, even at night. Ed's dependability is outstanding, which you can't say about most contractors. You always know the status of the project. In the Summer of 2018, Ed completed my home remodel. Great job!! When a truck lost control and hit my low railroad tie wall in December 2018, I knew who I could trust to do the work. Ed understood that I wanted the exact same type of wall, no up sale. Planning on using him again in 2020 for deck work.

The remodeling of the first of my three bathrooms is nearly done, and it has turned out beautifully. I like that Ed is in constant communication with updates about what will be done each week. The subcontractors have been courteous and have cleaned up after themselves. The whole process has gone smoothly.

Ed, his crew and sub-contractors are professionals. Communication with Ed and his team was appreciated. I knew each week what was happening and who to expect in my home. As time went by, I relied and trusted Ed’s expertise to guide me through the decisions I had to make along way. Any questions regarding budget/invoices were quickly addressed which helped me stay on budget. I highly recommend Ed and will use him again for any future home improvements. Update 6-25-18 - Ed did my entire kitchen except for the countertop. I saw material (quartz) at Lowes and decided I would have them install the countertop. BIG mistake. The job was poorly done and after almost 6 months of trying to resolve the issue and it still hasn’t been resolved, I decided to use Ed and his crew to install my new kitchen countertop. Ed did the demo of Lowes work and then had Tony install my new countertop. What Lowes said could not be done, was done by Tony. The best seams (white countertop) and seam location. Lessons learned: 1. Verify that the Lowes installer is licensed and 2. I should have used Ed and never gone to Lowes. Funny….the cost difference (countertop material and labor/installation)…$155.25 cheaper to use Ed.

We had a somewhat mixed experience. On the up side, we loved the finished quality of the work. Ed's subcontractors demonstrated professionalism through quality workmanship and good communication. On the flip side, the process was a struggle for us, taking far longer than expected. We had many questions throughout the process and we were quite frankly confused much of the time due to significant gaps in communication between Ed and us. At times, we misinderstood who was responsible for procuring what and when. In fairness, we were new to the process of remodeling and we didn't know what we didn't know, but when all is said and done, we love the results.

The work turned out wonderfully, Ed is a fantastic contractor, very professional, very responsive and dependable. I would hire him again in an instant. Description of work: Re-roof, new gutters, termite damage and wood repair, new stucco, and outside painting. He also did some construction in the attic and new attic insulation.

My wife and I hired Bourke Construction for a complete home remodel. It took us a long time to choose a remodeler but we decided on Bourke because their owner Ed was really upfront and put our nerves at ease. We believe that in life you get what you pay for, and we are 100% satisfied with the result. They weren’t the cheapest bid but they were the ones we felt most comfortable having in our house for several months. They literally transformed our home from a 90s cookie cutter into a place that we feel proud to entertain in. They helped us realize our vision for our space and made many helpful product recommendations. Anyone whose done a remodel like this knows how stressful it can be. Ed was good at providing progress updates and things ran on schedule. Hes great at explaining what he’s doing without using a bunch of construction jargon. We did have an issue with some custom tile taking longer than it should have but Bourke was able to change on a dime and move forward with other parts of the remodel while we waited for the tile. Also my wife is kind of a neat freak and she really really appreciated how clean our home was kept during and after the remodel. They have this huge machine that gets rid of the dust in the air which was great because we stayed at home during the process. Now that this is all over I’m really glad we chose Bourke Construction. They’ve earned my future business and a strong recommendation.

Hired Ed and his crew to remodel the front of my house. They constructed a beautiful front porch, removed the old bay windows to the house and replaced them with french doors which open the space and added a ton of natural light. They finished their work on schedule, communication was great. Professional work.

We hired Bourke Construction to remodel our three bathrooms. Phase One was the Master Bath. Phase Two was the Powder Room and the Jack & Jill Bathroom. Ed Bourke was onsite and/or very responsive. We knew each day who was coming, what time, and what they were going to do. We were fortunate that there were no surprises and things moved right along. Ed worked well with our budget and helped us find the best deals at places like MSI Tile and Blizzard Shower Doors to name a few. We did not move out during the remodel and yes there was a lot of dust but Ed's crew was good about cleaning up at the end of each day. I truly appreciated Ed's patience with my many questions. We would recommend Bourke Construction to anyone who is looking for a reliable and responsive General Contractor.

I hired Bourke Construction to take down the wood pergola which covered my patio - because the posts where in the middle of the patio and impeded the space. Ed was very responsive, gave me a reasonable quote and offered to start within a week. He and his team showed up on time, walked me thru what they were going to do, and did exactly that. They were professional, experienced and cleaned up well. I highly recommend Bourke and will use them again.

We hired Bourke Construction after meeting with several contractors. We purchased a fixer upper home in Laguna Beach, CA with intentions to update and renovate a few things immediately after taking possession of the property. Ed was prompt getting back to me, which is more than I can say for several other contractors, some of whom I never heard back from. His prices were fair and accurate. We ended up going over our original budget, but at no fault of Ed and his team, as we decided to expand our original renovation scope once we actually began work. Ed and his team took everyone of our changes and additions without a hitch. We had 18 windows replaced, with trimming replaced and/or repaired, our old and damaged front dutch door replaced with a new fiber glass door as well as painted, all of the wood paneling inside of our home removed, and replaced with dry wall as well as added insulation behind those walls and added insulation in our ceiling. They also added sound insulating board behind the drywall in our living room as well because it was facing a busier street. We had a good amount of our electrical wiring updated to meet current electrical code, as well as adding new electrical outlets and switches. We had 9 new LED can lights added as well as 6 more can lights converted to LED and to match the new ones added. We also had an LED light strip added to the master bedroom as well as a custom trim built around it. We had a very dated stone cemented into the wall floor to ceiling fireplace, which was demolished and removed and replaced with a nice maple wood floating mantle and grey tile surround. We had our garage door replaced with a new garage door as well as added a garage door opener. We also had the biggest hole in our waste line the plumbers had ever seen, which was unexpected, but Ed and his team took care of it right away as well as replaced a toilet while they were at it. They also repaired numerous miscellaneous items around the house as well. With all of this going on, we lived through the renovation. Ed and his team communicated on a regular basis what they planned to do for that day as well as a report as to what was completed at the end of the day. They swept and kept the house as clean as could possibly be given the construction and were mindful of us also living there. He even brought an HEPA air filter to help with the dust. If you live in Laguna Beach, CA you know how difficult and excessively complicated the city can be with anything. Do yourself a favor and get a local contractor to do the work. You will save yourself a lot of headache and time. With Ed’s experience, he was able to handle each project of ours from conception, to permits, the build and inspections. Ed has a high sense of pride in the work that he does as well as his team and will do what is necessary to make things right. He was always responsive to any questions and concerns, which is a rarity in contractors. We have more projects planned for the future and will be planning on using Ed and his team to help complete them. I would definitely recommend Ed for any project big or small.

My garage floor needed some work done. The cement was covered in old oil spills and various other paint residue. I was interested in getting an epoxy flooring since it seems popular. Good thing I got it because I love it! It's so easy to clean spills now and it looks so modern and clean. Bourke Co did a great job! I highly recommend them.

Had my drive way redone with all new materials. They got rid of the old material and replaced it. Fast turn around. Would definitely recommend. Ed and his crew worked hard and got this job done quickly and painlessly.

Hired Bourke Construction to build a deck overlooking the beach. I couldn't be happier with the final product! Ed and his team are great! Extremely professional in their work and they make sure all subcontractors complete their work up to the highest standards. I had a wall added to my family room to create an "entertainment center." They had a ton of wiring to do for all my electronics but it was done seamlessly and quickly. I hired Bourke Co to remodel my back yard and add drought resistant plants. I've been putting off this project because I had not found the right contractor. Bourke Co provided some great ideas before we went head with the project. The estimate was hassle free. Once they got hired on, they completed the remodel within the specified time frame which was fantastic. Awesome awesome job with the paint job in my kids bedrooms! We needed to repaint 4 bedrooms plus a den and it was too much work for one person! Ed and his crew came in and did the job in record time! So happy with the quality and work done :)

We had our entire interior painted (family room, kitchen, downstairs office and bathrooms). They did a wonderful job and paid close attention to detail. Remodeled our 20 year old, dated, family room Our family room had the typical brick hearth in front of the fireplace, brick on the wall on either side of the fireplace and large mantel on top of the bricks. We also had a custom built entertainment center (wood) along one wall, beneath the wall mounted television. Ed had to demolish the entertainment center, the hearth, the brick siding and remove the mantel. Where the hearth and entertainment center had been, re-tiling was required since the tile had been laid around the entertainment center and the hearth. Baseboard and crown molding also had to be replaced. We wanted stack stone around the fireplace and up to the ceiling where we had crown molding. In addition, there was a lot of wall repair around the fireplace and under the television. And everything had to be repainted. We met with Ed, showed him the project, got a price, and worked out a timetable of two weeks. Ed's son, Patrick, did all the demolition and took great care to protect the house from excessive dust. Ed's sub-contractors laid the stack stone around the fireplace and up the wall, replaced the tile, repaired and painted the walls. Ed himself did the baseboard and crown molding. He and his crew did a beautiful job and best of all stuck to the schedule! Throughout the job, when we had questions, Ed would respond by email within minutes, literally. He was on top of it all the way. We are very, very pleased with his work.

Re-insulate attic and provide storage area with ventilation. Removed old blown (and thin) insulation. Replace with high grade R30. Cover all with thick plywood. Nest all wiring in joists. Install attic stairs in hallway. Move hallway light. Paint attic door to match ceiling. Install attic fan through exterior stucco wall for ventilation, included thermostat and manual control. Install fan switch in hallway. All went well. We love our extra space. This was our second time using Eddie, Reggie and Alfonso. They come on time, do good work and are a pleasure to work with. They were done in a little over a week. After this job, we hired them again to re-roof our house and rebuild a fireplace (after a eucalyptus destroyed our family room). As expected, Eddie, Reggie and Alfonso were courteous, professional and hard-working. Their work is amazing and they are a pleasure to have around.
