Glover Design

Our experience with Glover Design was very good. We have been engaged for several years with Channing on a lot that we purchased years ago for concept development for usage on a tricky lot. We sold this lot and never built but thought he was inventive on site planning and innovative on the overall space planning. This never went to a full architectural design, but it hooked us on Channing to use in the future. Fast forward a few years and we found the lot for our forever home and did not hesitate to know who we wanted to engage for this project. In this design the space flows very well and he exhibited a unique take on material usage on the exterior and created a very livable floor plan on the interior. Channing did a fantastic job with designing our new lake front home. He met with us and we told him what we wanted. He managed to take our list of ideas and create what we think was a beautiful plan that turned into a beautiful home! We could not be happier with the end product!!! Thanks, Channing!

Channing has been our architect on 2 homes now - our primary residence and second/beach home. When we decided to build a second home, there was no question who we were calling for design! Channing listens to his clients needs and in our experience has “nailed it” on first attempts. He is so easy to work with and never gives any push back despite my many “tweaks” along the way. He is efficient and timely in getting plans back with updates. Channing’s style can really be whatever you want, but he always has great ideas. We wanted our beach house to have a more historic/traditional appearance with a modern flair and Channing touched it up with his staple rafter tails and details and it’s truly perfect. Glover Design was the best experience we've ever had with a designer. Channing took personal interest in our project. He communicated frequently. He listened to what we wanted and then blew us away with the design he drew up. We had a few small suggestions along the way and Channing was very responsive - while still creating a space and design that was both functional and stylish. He has a creative eye for blending both traditional and modern styles. He knows how to maximize space for highest efficiency. Beyond all that we found Channing to be personable and easy to work with. We've already decided he will be our first choice for our next project.

My family and I were undecided about building on our land after the hurricane Florence. We wanted to build our own house and had been in contact with Channing about designing our dream home. After going back and forth with financing we decided to go with his company, a few days later finances fell through and we explained the situation and tried to get our money back. He informed us that wouldn’t be possible and I thought we worked out a deal to use that deposit for a future project but he decided against that again. Hope you have your ducks in a row because he is not understanding of personal situation.
