I wanted to take a moment to provide a review. We bought a fairly traditional home in Winnetka and had about 4 months to plan our move in . We were very keen on transforming our spaces into a more transitional decor and feel. After talking to several design teams we had Jessica share her ideas. Right from choosing our wooden floor stain to wall colors she was involved in every decision. We had some very strong opinions of our own and Jessica and her team were exceptional at incorporating those but also pushing back where they felt it was not appropriate. We also loved the fact that right upfront she pulled together a very detailed view by room of the potential budget with options helping us make the right tradeoffs on where to go really high end and where we could tradeoff. We have received a ton of compliments on all aspects of our new home including the decor, the furniture pieces, at the art pieces, the accents and the rugs. We also loved the fact that she insisted on addressing the little details like changing our cabinet handles and faucets with the right colors and styles to fit the contemporary vibe we were looking for. We recommend Jessica and her team wholeheartedly and will work with her again in a heartbeat.

We hired Lugbill Designs to help us plan a total remodeling of two bathrooms. We engaged them in two phases: design and construction management. In terms of the design phase, we give them a top rating. The legwork, planning, and choices Lugbill provided were superb. In retrospect we realize we would have been at a total loss and would have made many costly mistakes, if left to our own devices, and we would not have ended up with two remodeled bathrooms we absolutely love. In terms of the construction management phase, we felt Lugbill did a good job, but we were not quite as pleased with that phase. While we benefited from Lugbill’s involvement in the construction management phase, there were occasions when the communication between the three parties (Lugbill, our contractor, and us) was not quite as clear and prompt as we would have preferred. Just a minor annoyance and certainly not a major criticism. Overall, we highly recommend Lugbill. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Erica and her colleagues.

Without hesitation, Erica took responsibility and promptly ordered brand-new replacements, sight unseen. We couldn't be more pleased with the results and would wholeheartedly recommend Erica and her team for any design or remodeling project.

I cannot recommend Lugbill Designs highly enough. Erica, Jessica and Joe were wonderful to work with. They helped us design and project manage the construction of two small and outdated bathrooms with odd layouts as well as other updates to our space, including paint colors and light fixtures throughout the home. Erica and Jessica came up with thoughtful and beautiful designs for both bathrooms that made them modern, comfortable and incredibly functional in a way that we never could have done on our own. They have great taste while also clearly taking in the needs and design styles of their clients. Joe was also extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire construction process, checking in frequently and quickly addressing any issues that came up. Erica and her team recently helped us renovate our kitchen and living areas. Throughout the entire process they were so helpful with suggesting touches to elevate our space. They listened carefully to our needs and style preferences, and brought us so many creative ideas that we implemented. This was our first experience working with a designer; the quality and professionalism of her team is top-notch, as is their project management support. We cannot say enough great things!

Lugbill did a kitchen and main bathroom renovation for us. After telling them our goals they devised a design plan and brought samples that were right on target for our style and budget. The work was done spring of 2021 during the pandemic when there were significant delays with products. Lugbill was able to get our products to us when we needed them, and they communicated with us daily when there were unavoidable delays. They did whatever they could to expedite deliveries. Because of their experience and hard work we had no major delays or interruptions in our renovations. During the renovation the Lugbill team was available for any questions that came up with our contractors. Often the calls were well before 9am and Erica was available for FaceTime to help make decisions or answer questions. We had a relatively small main bathroom and the bathroom renovation is incredible, I can’t believe they built a luxury bathroom in that small space. Our new kitchen is stunning and it’s much more functional than our old kitchen. Cooking and clean up is quicker and easier. I would recommend lugbill designs for design and renovation, they are smart, kind and fun to work with. I would absolutely hire Lugbill again.

I recently finished a complete gut renovation of a bathroom down to the studs. The building is 101 years old with many challenges and I had a very tight deadline since the condo was to be rented out and I had to return overseas. Erica was fantastic managing all the logistics, finding the best in-stock sources, and ensuring that all the materials and fixtures would be ready in time to meet the deadline. The custom elements such as shower doors, shades, and quartz pieces were done beautifully and the vendors worked extra hard to get them ready in time. Erica completely understood my brief and the need for durable pieces that would last with a tenant. The new bathroom is really beautiful and has many gorgeous elements that look super-luxurious but still stayed within budget. Erica had great ideas on features that would give a luxurious, high-end look, without spending a fortune and these definitely elevated the design. When my wife and I moved into our first home, we spent almost two hours debating paint colors before we decided calling in a pro would save us time, strife, and second-guessing ourselves. It would up being the best possible decision! Over the past five years, we've completed a number of projects with Lugbill Designs, from choosing paint colors for the entire house to renovating our kitchen, designing living room built-ins and settling on furniture layouts. Erica is a complete pro, but just as importantly she's a true collaborator: gently suggesting layout tweaks or new approaches that weren't even on our radar but completely blew us away with the impact, working within our budget, and being super responsive to our questions and requests. Her team really understands that a home is meant to be lived in, not just staged to look pretty -- so they guided us to durable options that would hold up well with our three kiddos without having to compromise on aesthetic. I'm not surprised that several of the vendors in Lugbill Design's rolodex (from carpet installers to cabinet makers to closet installers!) gushed about how great it is working with the team and what real pros they are. In my past review I said I would use Lugbill Designs again and I did! We bought a larger condo and did a complete gut renovation. Erica and Jessica designed the entire space including modifying the layout, designing a kitchen, three baths, lighting etc. Once again, it turned out beautifully and exceeded our expectations. I love that each of the baths are quite unique and yet their causal elegance fit beautifully with the rest of the condo. The kitchen is stunning and very functional. Their designs have a fresh look that will also wear well over time. Erica and the team are also responsive, flexible, honest, innovative and just a pleasure to work with!

As I'm approaching the first anniversary living in my new condo barely a day goes by when I don't think to myself how much I love living here. This was a complete gut rehab from top to bottom including taking out a wall and "dropping" the cement ceiling a bit to allow for recessed lighting ( Erica Lugbill's brilliant idea) If I had to pick a favorite room it would be my living/dining room but would also include the kitchen area as it's a very open floor plan. The kitchen is bright and inviting while still being very functional. My condo has a very open feel and the light wood floors, the beautiful unique features and wall fixtures combined with the furnishings make the condo my very loved home....one that I look forward to spending this long winter ahead in pure comfort and contentment. Erica was recommended to me when I was renovating a 4-unit rental property in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. She was able to redesign 2 bedroom apartments into 3 bedroom apartments and a 1Br Coachhouse into an amazing, dramatic 2 Bedroom unit. Uder Erica’s careful guidance we were able to max-out the available space and thereby increase the rental income significantly!!! We hired Lugbill Designs primarily for our kitchen redesign. They looked at our current kitchen design, listened to our needs, and came up with a sharp, contemporary design for our new kitchen. They acted as general contractor overseeing the subcontractors who removed the old kitchen and installed the new kitchen--electrical, plumbing, and construction. In addition, they oversaw acid-cleaning and tuckpointing of our interior brick walls, painted our plaster walls, and offered suggestions on furniture that would best suit our urban loft apartment. Erica was wonderful to deal with. She was very creative and responsive to our requests before, during and after the job.

We are very happy that we found Erica to help us redo our aging kitchen. She was wonderful to work with and had great contractors and resources that helped us achieve our dream. We don't like wasted space, and she helped us design some unique cabinet solutions. She also designed a special light fixture over our center island that includes LED lights that change colors. We were so happy with our results that we hired her again later to help with a basement den project which needed custom designed built in shelving. We loved the results and will use her again on future projects.

Lugbill Designs helped us renovate and furnish our entire townhome by providing design ideas and project managament services. Lugbill helped us decide which materials/products to use and how to use them, then procured them, and overaw the work. Our space is 4 levels, with bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, kitchen, etc. and the project included floors, paint, fixtures, furnishings, etc. I found Erica, from Lugbill Designs, to be exceptionally great at listening to my ideas and providing realistic solutions. This was our first time using a design service. I will be using Lugbill Designs for future projects, should any arrise.

Erica designed my new dream kitchen. She is an credibly talented kitchen layout designer. I could not be happier with how she helped me realize the image I had in my mind! My kitchen is not only beautiful but it is super functional and user-friendly.

My partner and I had some necessary corrections made to our condo unit which caused us to have to adjust some of the layout of our living space. We had to relocate a wine refrigerator that had lived in the living room for years. We wanted to relocate it into our kitchen but was overwhelmed with the task. Talking with Erica Lugbill was the best thing that could have happen for our place. She visited us and immediately understood what we wanted. In talking to her, we told her that we might want to change a couple other items in our kitchen at the same time we had the refrigerator installed in our kitchen. She took pictures, measured the entire kitchen, and told us that she would start designing a "mini" makeover. Within 3 days, she came back to our house, and showed us a 3D rendering of a couple ideas for the placement our wine frig within our kitchen. We loved both choices, and settled on one of them. She also suggested several options for the other concerns we had with the kitchen. Erica helped us pick the products for our "mini" makeover and couldn't wait for the process to start. After wards, Erica introduced us to her construction crew, when they all came over for a review of the work order. This was something I didn't expect, but truly appreciated. The work began within a week, and her crew was completely professional with the entire scoop of work. They spent half a day just preparing the work area and protecting all the other rooms from dust and work debris. Since we have a loft, our kitchen is open to the dining room which is open to the living room, the crew understood this, and completely insulated the rest of the house. Erica visited daily to check on her crew and on us, making sure to work out the smallest construction details and to answer any of our questions or concerns. Once the process was completed, the crew spent another half a day cleaning and removing everything that they brought into our condo. We ended up with a one of a kind kitchen compared to the rest of the building, a perfectly incorporated wine refrigerator, new back splash tile, new pendant lighting system, new brushed nickel wall switch & outlet plates, and to finish off the project, a fancy industrial kitchen faucet. Before hiring Erica, I always thought a interior designer would be an expensive proposition, but we were pleasantly surprised that this wasn't true. Erica is extremely talented, keep with our budget, and was completely professional. She is a great listener and didn't push her own choices when it came to material options. Not only did everything come out wonderful, put she suggested a different color for a accent wall, and it is amazing how it transferred the adjoining room. She is amazing, pick up the phone and call her!

In 2009 Lugbill Designs created our daughter's bedroom, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. From the paint combination on the walls to the custom-made paintings to match her bedspread to repainting the stained dresser and crib to white, it was absolutely perfect. We would recommend Lugbill Designs to anyone. In fact, several years later, we had her custom-paint two great pieces of word art for our family room and loved them as much as the first project.

I contracted Erica as a designer/project manager to have a gas fireplace built in our condo. I was so surprised how closely the fireplace, tilework & overall design ended up as compared to her initial rendering - it was as if it was lifted off the paper & put into my living room! We were so thrilled with how it turned out, and Erica made sure the whole process was seamless & easy for us. She has a keen eye for detail & I love that she is brutally honest with what she thinks will work, and keeps to the budget perameters. We'd definitely recommend Lugbill Designs!
