Chrissy was the driving force behind a comprehensive renovation of my condo. She provided top to bottom designs - no detail was spared. I wanted to work with Chrissy because it was clear from our first meeting that she has an exceptional eye and exquisite taste. However, what really impressed upon me was her genuine and compassionate approach. She asked all the right questions, listened intently and paid close attention to understand my motivations and vision so as to collaboratively create a space that really meets my needs. After that, she set off to work tirelessly and fight fiercely to achieve our project goals and ensure the original vision is realized. I can say without a doubt that Chrissy has helped me live life in the most beautiful way possible, and she will surely do the same for you.

Chrissy is not the first designer we have worked with but is, by far, the best. Chrissy redesigned our 4000 sq. home and we could not be happier with the result. Chrissy has a unique ability to hone in on her client’s design style (even if you don’t know what your own style is); we were looking for a total update but wanted to keep some of our existing pieces. Chrissy prepared a layout that beautifully fused modern with traditional elements, integrated the old with the new and transformed our home into a welcoming statement of who we are. When guests walk through our front door their first words are always “what a beautiful home”. More importantly, when we walk through our front door our first thoughts are “what a beautiful home”. I am often asked if our designer “picked everything” or if we were involved. Here is the beautiful thing: Chrissy would put together an initial layout with various options and my husband and I were always astonished at how she was able to find beautiful, unique pieces (elements we would certainly never find on our own) that when brought together always seemed to be “just perfect” and “exactly what we envisioned”. From start to finish Chrissy was a total professional, delivering on time, on budget and above expectation. I am not a person who is easily impressed, but in this case, I am happy to say my expectations were exceeded and I could not recommend Chrissy & Co. highly enough.

I had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Chrissy over several months. From our initial consultation meeting I knew that Chrissy was a professional with integrity. She has impeccable taste and is a visionary who delivers not only what you envisioned for your space but on time and on budget. Initially I was concerned that hiring a designer might complicate the process having heard some challenges that I friend of mine went through with her designer. I have to say, I couldn’t have been happier with my experience with. Chrissy Cottell has impeccable taste and is joy to work with. Her intuitive sense of design and her ability to streamline the design/build process is such a gift. I can’t imagine what the process would have been like if she wasn’t there to assist my husband and I with all the decisions along the way. Her creative talents and strong business acumen really helped pull the entire team together. Her attention to detail was spectacular, always ensuring that everyone was on the same page. Even our contractor who has had mixed reviews about other designers that he has worked with in the past said she was one of the best designers he has ever worked with. I highly recommend Chrissy as a designer; her talent in both construction design, and décor exceeded all expectations.

I designed and managed a own renovation before and it was such a stressful experience. So this time I hired Chrissy! The design process was smooth and easy - Chrissy streamlined the decision making process by presenting a handful of great options. Her experienced eye and opinion gave me confidence in the choices we made. Asking Chrissy to manage the project was THE best decision! She brought very talented tradespeople to the table. I essentially handed over my keys, walked away until it was all done, and had my grand HGTV-style reveal at the end. My place looks stunning and I still can't believe this beautiful home is where I live! Renovations don't have to be stressful! Chrissy is bright, creative and a pleasure to work with. A friend of mine introduced me to Chrissy last year and I am so glad to have met her. Not only is she a talented designer, but she has an amazing eye for art. She introduced me to David Burdeny's work and her recommendations have given me a new appreciation for art in my place. I had Chrissy come in to our condo to give us some ideas on how to stage it for sale. We were mostly working with our existing furniture, and wanted ideas for placement (as we have a huge fish tank, that she had to work around). Chrissy was great! She understood the pieces we loved and had to keep (the fish, for one), and worked them into her plan. She also gave alternate suggestions for furniture placement. After we took her plan and ran with it (paint colors, accessories, furniture placement)- we listed our condo. We had EIGHT units for sale in our building, and nothing had sold in over a year. Guess what? Our condo had an offer within 2 weeks. And we had a potential backup offer if that one fell through. I think the results speak to themselves- especially when the unit immediately above and blow us were for sale, and they were both priced lower than us. Chrissy was professional and fun to work with, and her prices were very reasonable. We did a half day with her to get suggestions and tips, and it was well worth it. In fact her paint colors were such a hit that my mother in law stole the colors and used them in her bedroom! The feature wall was also a huge hit. Loved the service, and would definitely use her again & recommend her to friends. Please note that the service was for her to give us a plan and for me to follow (paint, purchase accessories, etc). I take all responsibility for design elements that weren't in her plan! :) All that matters is WE loved it, and we almost didn't care if it never sold. I should post the "before" photos to show you what it was like when she arrived!

When I decided to make Vancouver my home again, I took the plunge and rented a large loft (double the size of any pervious apartments I resided) I didn't realize that with so much extra space, I would struggle with ideas on how to fill it, and keep it feeling homey... Enter Chrissy! I'm so grateful a friend recommended her. She kept my goals in mind, and worked her magic. My place now reflects my personality, of classic and eclectic!
